Join Oakland Educators and Teachers as we kick off our campaign to get Clarissa Doutherd elected to the OUSD Board (D4.)
We’ve all felt the repercussions of OUSD’s mismanaged budgets and misguided priorities. Oakland’s children deserve better and electing Clarissa Doutherd is a critical step toward creating a fiscally competent school board that puts students at the center.
Join OEA to eat, hang out, and hear Clarissa’s vision for OUSD. Then we will go into the community to talk with Oakland voters about why it’s time for new leadership on the OUSD Board.
Clarissa has spent the last several years advocating for Oakland youth as the Executive Director of Parent Voices Oakland. In this capacity, she has shown her commitment to children and families and her ability to manage finances, growing her annual budget by over 1000%. As an Oakland public school parent who has had to navigate the system to ensure her child’s needs are met, Clarissa will provide a valuable perspective on the board. #Clarissa4OaklandSchools #WeAreOEA
